Really cool saloon. The burgers are absolutely amazing. Definitely worth visiting at least once a month!
The ride up there was exhilarating, the view.... incredible!, the food...Awesome. The young lady attending to us made it special for us. My wife and her are from the same state of Ohio and formed a quick kinship. Will have to do it again.
Fun atmosphere and delicious hamburgers! You'll have to give yourself time to look at all the different decorations on the walls and historic notes. There's a dollar on the ceiling from 1910 or older! Be sure to talk to the friendly staff about the different stories and learn about the world's biggest dog at the time of his life. He's mounted on their wall!! A must see.
Wife and were traveling fr Seattle to AZ. in 2015. Local in Ogden suggested Huntsville to get a cooler area so we camped in our MH for a few days. Saw the Shooting Star and went in. Met two absolute characters who live in Ogden but frequent the SSS. Waitress/owner? told the story of "the dog" who has a bear shaped head. Had great burgers and went back twice...and there was Bob and Ray (not a joke). The experience was something we chuckle about often and hope to be able (81 & 66) to visit the Shooting Star again. We highly recommend you stop and enjoy.
Great burgers especially after being exhausted from doing outdoor activities in the Ogden Canyon near the lake and ski resorts! Nice atmosphere, fun staff, has pool tables and comfortable seating. Great beer for Utah (from Cali) considering the laws with me point beer.
