When he got home he told my wife what happened and she was very upset that nothing was done about stealing at a scout camp. She calls the camp director and I'm guessing Bryton Peterson, that's who's listed as the camp director on the website and when my wife called the person on the phone referred to himself as the camp director, anywho, he proceeded to tell my wife that maybe this will be a life lesson for my son. Meaning that next time someone steals from him that he needs to do more than tell the people in charge that someone stole from him. He needs to go beyond what the adults that are paid to handle these situations are willing to do for him and keep telling anyone who will listen that he has a problem.

Great little scout camp, we had a training here and it was fun. Dorms were nice to stay in, facilities are well maintained, and most everything is close.

My boys had a blast there. The staff did a good job with them.

Earlier today my son went to this terrible Camp Kiesel place. This is a scout camp where kids and adults are supposed to be learning about teamwork being honest and helping people in need blah blah blah, you know all that boy scout stuff.

Well, my son was excited to go to his first day camp at this place ( will refer to it as a joke from here on out). Anyway, he asked me to take him to the store the night before (last night) and buy him lots of snacks and stuff for him to eat at lunch. I bought him 2 lunchables a box of granola bars, a box of fruit roll ups. a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips, one big bottle of sprite and one big bottle of water. When we got home he made himself a sandwich and put some chips in a sandwich bag, and bagged up the rest of the stuff in a paper bag. My wife wrote his first and last name in big letters on the bag.

There was no attempt at an apology, just continuing to blame my son for his lunch getting stolen. Instead of a "sorry to hear that" or "I'll look into it and see why nothing was done" or even a "I wish I had heard about it before he left". No all we got was a "maybe your son will learn from this and next time he'll tell the exact right person." My wife said "aren't you the right person i'm talking to right now?" he said "Yeah" and that's it. I feel this was handled poorly and I will be the squeaky wheel that gets the grease because this isn't the end, not for me.

Great place, staff was friendly and the kids had fun. Would definitely recommend.

If i could give this place negative stars I would. Let me tell you what happens when you send your child to this place.

We went there for an day camp and we had a lot of fun. The staff was really fun and friendly. Young too so they can really connect with all the kids. They have a different theme each year too. last year they had a Peter Pan theme. This place is great and highly recommended.

Fast forward to today (July 29) at 7 am i take my son to the group of people heading up with this scout troop and he is very excited. They spend some time up there doing whatever it is scouts do then release them for a break he goes in has a lunchable and they go back outside for more boy scout stuff. They release them back for another break and ALL his food is gone. Someone stole his lunch and his snacks. He immediately goes and tells an adult what happened and THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They didn't try to track down who stole my sons food they didn't even make an attempt to take him to get any replacement food. Needless to say for the rest of his time up there he got the opportunity to watch everyone else eat while he sat there.
